League Information
GNLL
Hopkins Park Youth Lacrosse is part of the Great Northern Lacrosse League (GNLL).
The Great Northern Lacrosse League (GNLL) provides a fun, safe and supportive environment where area high school and youth players can compete, learn and grow.
The league provides the following for all games:
• Certified Officials
• Certified EMTs or Athletic Trainers equipped with AEDs
• Online team statistics, standings, schedules, and updates
We participate in three lacrosse seasons: Pre-Season Box, Spring Field and Summer Field.
Age Levels: 14U / 12U / 10U / 8U / 6U
Eligibility: The league follows USA Lacrosse Age & Eligibility Guidelines and Athlete Development Model (ADM). USAL membership is required for all players and coaches.
If a player is hoping to play in a division outside of the USA Lacrosse Age Segmentation Policy, a GNLL Age Division Waiver must be completed by an association board member and approved by the GNLL Director. Cases are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Box Lacrosse
Pre-season Box Lacrosse is a great way to work on skills before the main season. It's 6v6 indoor lacrosse that's played on turf field hockey rinks like the PAV / ROC.
Divisions: 14U / 12U / 10U
Field Lacrosse
Spring (main season) or Summer Lacrosse is played 10v10 on an outdoor field the about the size of a soccer field. At divisions 10U and under the size of the field and number of players is reduced.
Divisions: 14U / 12U / 10U / 8U / 6U
